Back to the past, Samurai Jack.

In Samurai Jack, there are very specific characters.
All of them have unique personality and they are in good harmony.
(Harmony : I mean, harmony is not in story’s view,
just in whole animation work.)

First, Here is our hero, Jack.
He is Japanese. Maybe. Because He’s a Samurai!
He is sent to the future by Aku. And He wanna back to the past.
Because He Has to be there and defeat Aku, the evil king.

This is Aku. He is evil king. But He is my favorite character.
Most of formal evil characters don’t have humor, envy.
They are too predictable and stereotype things.
But Aku is not like them.
Sometimes He even shows his naïve aspect.
So I like Aku even though he is a bad man.

This is Jack’s Parents.
When Jack was young, they sent jack many great martial teachers.
But Aku destroyed Jack’s motherland and take Jack’s parents.
They were Aku’s slave, but Jack rescue them from Aku’s palace.

This is a Scotsman(I don’t know what’s his name is…).
He has very “macho-mind”.
And his wife is very big, tough, a little bit ugly, and impetuous woman.
But he always say like this, “My wife is so sweet and so light as a feather.
And she’s voice is the bird’s singing. She is so soft, tender.
I must protect her with love.”
But his wife is the best fighter in this cartoon I think…
So I think he is very good man. And always helps jack with sincerity.
He is one of important character in this cartoon.

In fact, this animation is picaresque story type.
So there are not many characters to introduce.

Sometimes so funny, sometimes majesty(nevertheless in this style images!),
sometimes even very sad animation, this is.
